John: Hey Sarah! I haven’t seen you in a while. Were you away on vacation?
Sarah: Hi John! Yes, I was. I was in Hawaii for two weeks. It was amazing. Were you busy with work?
John: Oh, I was. Work was really hectic last month. By the way, was the weather nice in Hawaii?
Sarah: It was! Every day was sunny and warm. The beaches were beautiful. Wasn’t the weather here cold last week?
John: It was. I wasn’t prepared for it at all. I heard the temperatures were dropping, but I didn’t think it would be that cold. Were you at the beach most of the time?
Sarah: I was. And the sunsets were breathtaking! But I also did some hiking. Were you able to get out and enjoy the snow?
John: I was not, unfortunately. I was working late most days. But I did manage to take a walk in the park yesterday. It was peaceful.
Sarah: That sounds nice. Were there many people in the park?
John: There weren’t. It was quiet, probably because it was getting dark. Was your trip relaxing?
Sarah: It was, thank you for asking. I needed that break. By the way, were you at Mike’s party last Saturday?
John: No, I wasn’t. Was it fun?
Sarah: It was a blast! You missed out. But, next time!
John: Definitely. Let me know if you have any pictures from Hawaii. I’d love to see them.
Sarah: Sure thing! Were you planning to grab some coffee now?
John: Yes, I was. Would you like to join?
Sarah: I’d love to!

John:¡Hola Sarah! Hacía tiempo que no te veía. ¿Estabas de vacaciones?
Sarah: ¡Hola John! Sí, estuve. Estuve en Hawaii durante dos semanas. Fueron increíbles. ¿Estuviste ocupado con el trabajo?
John: Oh, sí. El trabajo estuvo muy ajetreado el mes pasado. Por cierto, ¿hacía buen tiempo en Hawai?
Sarah: ¡Sí! Todos los días hacía sol y calor. Las playas eran preciosas. ¿No hizo frío aquí la semana pasada?
John: Sí. No estaba preparado para ello. Había oído que las temperaturas estaban bajando, pero no creía que fuera a hacer tanto frío. ¿Estuviste en la playa la mayor parte del tiempo?
Sarah: Sí. Las puestas de sol eran impresionantes. Pero también hice algo de senderismo. ¿Pudiste salir a disfrutar de la nieve?
John: Por desgracia, no. Trabajé hasta tarde la mayoría de los días. Pero ayer pude dar un paseo por el parque. Fue tranquilo.
Sarah: Eso suena bien. ¿Había mucha gente en el parque?
John: No había. Estaba tranquilo, probablemente porque estaba oscureciendo. ¿Fue relajante vuestro viaje?
Sarah: Lo fue, gracias por preguntar. Necesitaba ese descanso. Por cierto, ¿estuviste en la fiesta de Mike el sábado pasado?
John: No, no estuve. ¿Fue divertido?
Sarah: ¡Fue una pasada! Te lo perdiste. Pero, ¡la próxima vez!
John: Definitivamente. Hazme saber si tienes fotos de Hawaii. Me encantaría verlas.
Sarah: ¡Claro! ¿Pensabas tomar un café ahora?
John: Sí. ¿Te apuntas?
