Michael: (sitting comfortably with a book in hand): Oh, hi there!
Donald:(approaching with a curious look): Hello! I couldn’t help but notice that book. Is it about English grammar?
Michael: (smiling): Yes, it is! I’m brushing up on my English verbs. They can be quite tricky, can’t they?
Donald:Absolutely! I always mix up my tenses. The past simple and past perfect tenses always get me.
MIchael:: I can relate. But practice makes perfect. For example, “I walked” is past simple, and “I had walked” is past perfect. The past perfect is used to express something that happened before another action in the past.
Donald:(nodding): Ah, that makes sense. What about those irregular verbs though?
Michael: (grinning): Ah, the bane of every English learner’s existence! Take ‘go’ for instance. In the past simple, it’s ‘went’ and in past perfect, it’s ‘had gone’.
Donald:So inconsistent! And modal verbs, they’re another story altogether.
MIchael:: Right! Modal verbs like “can,” “could,” “shall,” “should,” “will,” “would,” “must,” “may,” and “might” are used with the base form of the main verb to express ability, permission, requests, offers, and so on.
Donald:(intrigued): Like ‘can’ for ability and ‘may’ for permission?
Michael: (enthusiastic): Exactly! Like “I can swim” shows ability, while “May I go to the restroom?” is asking for permission.
Donald:Got it! There’s always something new to learn with English verbs.
Michael: (closing the book): Indeed! The beauty and complexity of the language lie in its verbs. But once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature.

Michael: (sentado cómodamente con un libro en la mano): ¡Oh, hola!
Donald: (acercándose con una mirada curiosa): ¡Hola! No pude evitar notar ese libro. ¿Es sobre gramática inglesa?
Michael: (sonriendo): ¡Sí, lo es! Estoy repasando mis verbos en inglés. Pueden ser bastante complicados, ¿no crees?
Donald: ¡Absolutamente! Siempre confundo mis tiempos verbales. El pasado simple y el pasado perfecto siempre me confunden.
Michael: Puedo relacionarme. Pero la práctica hace al maestro. Por ejemplo, “I walked” es pasado simple y “I had walked” es pasado perfecto. El pasado perfecto se usa para expresar algo que ocurrió antes de otra acción en el pasado.
Donald: (asintiendo): Ah, eso tiene sentido. ¿Pero qué hay de esos verbos irregulares?
